Philosophy

We, at St. John School, strive to provide a distinctive Catholic educational environment by creating an atmosphere in which self-dignity, mutual respect, cooperation, prayer and service are an integral part of our daily life.

With Christ as the foundation of the entire educational process, “Education in Faith” is our primary purpose. Faith is integrated into the curriculum through subjects taught in light of the Gospel. The curriculum enables students to master skills, gain knowledge, and embrace both Catholic Christian morality and positive social attitudes.

Parents and faculty share the responsibility of providing a Catholic Christian education. Parental responsibility is expressed by the development of faith in the home, by family participation in weekend liturgies, by consistent support of the school, and participation in school activities. School personnel reflect their Christian faith through their teaching and by their example.

The cooperation of parents, teachers, students, and school personnel gives living witness to Christ, the cornerstone of the St. John School Community.
