This year's eighth graders will be going on a trip to Washington D.C. in the spring of 2012 through Travel Adventures This is an annual trip that began in 2006. This educational trip is beneficial to the students because it brings alive the American history that they have studied in school, in particular the eighth grade. Students visit many places in the Washington D.C. area such as Gettysburg War Museum and Battlefield, all of the memorials and monuments, the U.S. Capitol, White House, Smithsonian Institute, Arlington National Cemetery, and much more. The staff members attending the trip with the students are Mrs. Nora VanEffen and Mrs. Terese Adams, and Mr. Wintson Stoody. The dates for this year's trip are May 7th-10th. |
