School Fundraisers that give us our operating budget to work with for the coming year covering; school budget, classroom improvements, technology, art, music, reading programs, the tuition assistance program, athletics, playground equipment, and much more.
Sally Foster Gift Wrap Sale: Begins September 10th , Sale ends September 29th, Pick up items on October 29th. Orders maybe placed online through December. The H.S.A. keeps 50% of the amount sold, which usually amounts to $15,000-$20,000. Students win prizes for the amount of items they sell and the student who sells the most in each class is awarded a trip to Burger King with Mr. Havens in a Limo Bus. This event is chaired by Julie Kenrick & Jane Bubnar.
Santa’s Secret Shop: Dates are November 30th, December 1st & December 2nd (am only). Although not designed as a fundraiser, SSS is meant to give our students a way to purchase Christmas gifts for their parents and other family members for very reasonable prices. This event usually nets the H.S.A. about $1,500. This event is chaired by Cathy Ebert, Beth Laskowski and Kelley Miller.
St. John Auction: Held on February 6, 2010. This is the largest fundraiser of the year.
This fundraiser in the past has netted the H.S.A. anywhere from $60,000 to $105,000. Many parents are required to work this event and many items are needed to make it a success. This year’s chair couple are Julie & Carl Hickmott.
SCRIP: Run through the Great Lakes SCRIP program, this program allows parents to buy gift certificates at face value. The vendors discount the gift certificates and the school is allowed to keep the difference. St. John has elected to give back a 100% to families as tuition credit. This program is conducted weekly throughout the year by Jeanne Kaye, Cindy Tomczak, Sue LeDuc and Karen Dillingham.

Market Day: This program allows families to purchase food items monthly to be picked up at the school. 10% of the proceeds of the sale are returned to the school in the form of cash. Families can purchase food online or through the Market Day catalog. This program is run by Kelly Berry. |
