AN EVENING TO REMEMBER
Dinner and dancing were enjoyed by over 200 parishioners and guests at the Coyote Preserve on Saturday, October 29, 2011, as the St. John School Educational Foundation honored Fr. David Harvey for his 30+ years of leadership to St. John the Evangelist Parish and St. John School.
A silent auction, the talented Sherwood Pea Jazz Trio, and DJ, Nick Anderson, were also included as part of the evening’s event.
This dinner event was the ideal time for the St. John School Educational Foundation to introduce the “Fr. Harvey Legacy Society” which is recognition program for individuals who include the Parish or school in their estate plan by will or trust, insurance policy, retirement plan or other deferred gift. All donors who support the Parish or Foundation through such a gift will be recognized in the Fr. Harvey Legacy Society. The goal of the Foundation is to have 25 founding members by December 31, 2012.
St. John School Educational Foundation board members were pleased as to the great success of “An Evening to Remember” and the establishment of the Fr. Harvey Legacy Society.
Being a member of the Fr. Harvey Legacy Society is not only be an outstanding way of honoring Fr. Harvey’s legacy, but also a wonderful way of ensuring a person’s own legacy through such a kind and considerate gift. |
