What year did you begin teaching? How long have been teaching at SJE ?
1967 at St. Michael parish in Southfield. I have been here for 26 1/2 years.
Favorite subjects:
Reading, Religion, Social Studies
Why I am a teacher:
It gives me great joy to share my faith with my young students. I especially like being so involved in their sacrament preparations. I also see how their creative writing developes and grows during the school year.
What I like most about teaching at SJE:
I appreciate how we are a close community. Our parents are very involved with their children's education. I'm also fortunate to be able to work with such a dedicated group of teachers and staff. I have made many lasting friendships throughout my years at St. John the Evangelist parish and school.
How your faith influences teaching:
I deeply believe in the power of prayer and there is no greater prayer than Mass. I strive to instill the importance of Mass participation. I also feel that our "actions" are the true example of our faith.
